Hart and Kaufman’s pivotal character of Sheridan Whiteside was inspired by their friend, Alexander Woollcott, the famed drama critic and radio personality; a man renowned not only for his ability but his sharp wit and cutting remarks. Set during the Christmas holidays, the writers collide Broadway and Hollywood with the upper-middle-class when popular radio host Sheridan Whiteside takes a tumble outside the Stanley’s home. The family gets more than they bargain for as they deal with “The Man Who Came To Dinner.”
The radio show features area talent: David Lee-Painter, Bryce Gowey, Hillary Mosman, Kelsey Chapman, Nancy/Achali Lee-Painter, Daniel L. Haley, Laurel Joy Forsberg, Joseph Erhard-Hudson.
Showtime is 7:30 p.m. December 20 in the 1912 Center’s Great Room.
Seating is limited.
